- 1/2 cup of butter (1 stick), softened
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- 1/4 cup of white sugar
- 1/2 cup of peanut butter (I used creamy)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 cup of flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375 degrees and spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. In a large mixer, cream butter, peanut putter, sugars and vanilla. Add the egg and mix until light & fluffy. In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt - mix thoroughly. Slowly add the dry ingredients into the butter mixture, stirring continuously. Add chocolate chips and combine. Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough on the baking sheet and press the center of the cookie with a fork. Bake for 10-11 minutes. Enjoy!

You can never go wrong with pb and chocolate! Those look perfect and yummy!
I am gonna have to make these for my coworkers! They look great!
These look delish! Approx. how many does a batch make?
Hi Kelly,
It depends on the size of cookie you make but mine made about 20 cookies. They were so good!!!

Nice looking cookies. Peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies are a great idea!
Your cookies are beautiful. I was browsing Tastespotting as usual and couldn't help but to click on your picture! Very nice!
Ahh, yummy. Never can go wrong with a Peanut Butter Cookie :]
Okay, I just finished cleaning up from a (double) batch of these. Please note: if you are home alone, don't make these until properly supervised, they are far too addicting! Fabulous recipe, thank you, I will need to pass this one along.
great recipe!
(although if you bake them too long they come out with a 'shortbread-like' consistency. which isn't necessarily a bad thing!)
