What a wonderful site this is!!! I made the split pea soup and it was delicious. I sent this site to my daughter and daughter-in-law because I think it is great to have the pictures as well as the recipe. It is one of the best I have seen. Keep up the great work!!

I found your blog through tastespotting.com (my new addiction) and loved this recipe. It was simple, precise and I'd say that we may never eat another packaged rice again. With the exception of mushrooms, we had all ingredients on hand. I will be watching for other receipes from you. Thanks!

You can't go wrong with orzo. It makes for a lovely dish each time and is easily paired with anything. Great recipe!

When I was a kid, we had a dish like this on Fridays. I think it is probably much better with frozen peas though. I can't stand when canned peas get mushy. Will have to give it a try. <BR/><BR/>Thanks for sharing, Pam.

Someone else said pasta rice...I agree. I've made this as just a meal many a times. Very satisfying indeed. And you paired this with a roast chicken! Wish I lived closer!!! lol
